Privacy notice
Last updated: 8 October 2026
I’m Jackson Torchia, and I run this site. This page sets out what personal information it collects, why, where it goes, and the rights you have over it. If you have a question, email me at jackson@storythos.com.
What I collect, and why
I collect personal information in one place only, and only if you choose to give it:
- The subscribe form: your email address, which I use to email you when there’s something new to read. Legal basis: your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect straight away.
Just browsing the site doesn’t collect anything personal. I never sell your information or share it for advertising.
Where it’s stored
When you subscribe, your address goes to HubSpot, which I use to run the mailing list. It’s the same list as Storythos, my other site. HubSpot may store data on servers outside the UK. Those transfers are covered by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and HubSpot’s contractual safeguards. HubSpot’s own privacy policy is at legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy.
Analytics and cookies
I use Vercel Analytics to count page visits. It doesn’t use cookies and only counts totals: it doesn’t identify you, follow you to other sites, or store anything on your device. The site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long I keep it
I keep your address until you unsubscribe. You can ask me to delete it at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, object to how I use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email me at jackson@storythos.com and I’ll deal with it promptly. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
