A Blue Sun Rises

A traumatised girl with god-like powers is on the verge of losing the last threads of her humanity when she meets the first truly good person she’s ever known. But in this broken world, the only thing more dangerous than loving the right person is being loved by the wrong one.

A girl desperate for control is offered the chance to rule a broken world, but the price is the only person who has ever truly cared about her.

Solis was there the night money fell from the sky, when people across the city discovered they could create anything they imagined. Two years later, she lives alone, haunted by the memory of her mother and by what she did to escape her.

Every night, crowds gather in the collectives to share their power, and Solis is one of the most impressive creators of them all. After a man named Solomon tries to kill her in front of the crowd, she meets Blue, the first truly good person she has ever known.

But Solis’s fight with Solomon attracted the wrong sort of attention, and she is soon invited to join a group of creators who plan to unite the city and take creation further than ever before. They want her help, and the power they are offering is more than she ever dreamed of.

As it becomes clear their idea of power is the same twisted version she learnt from the cruel hands of her mother, Solis must face the truth about who Blue really is, and learn how to care about someone more than she cares about herself, before she loses even more than she already has.
